The Young Kanaka Concert, honoring the 2003 Na Hoku Hanohano award winners from Hawaii, will be performing at 7:00 p.m. at the Fox Theatre located at 2215 Broadway Street in Redwood City. This concert features Na Palapalai, a traditional Hawaiian music band. They are the winners of five Na Hoku Hanohano Awards including Album of the Year and Group of the Year. In addition to Na Palapalai will be Three Plus, a Hawaiian Reggae band, and winners of the Na Hoku Award for Reggae Album of the Year. Along with the performances, there will be arts and crafts of Hawaii and "local" food served for those who want the island flavor of Hawaii.

Just look at this bike-racing star studded line up: Giro d'Italia winner Andy Hampsten, Tour de France Feminine winner Linda Jackson, mountain bike World Champion Thomas Frischknecht will all be at the Fox sharing stories of fabled races and cycling experiences. Those in the audience will have a chance to ask questions and learn what makes a champion "tick". Planet X will be in the house offering stunt riding shows and the night wraps up with the hot Latin Rock Band Caravanserai covering Santana's hits and playing original songs, too. A portion of proceeds from this event is going to Redwood City schools.
