One of San Francisco's greatest imports – Latin rock – will receive a spirited, rhythmic and sizzling tribute when Latin rock pioneers, social champions and new stars on the Latin rock scene take the stage to raise awareness for autism at this "Latin Rock Inc." fundraiser concert. The event will feature an extraordinary line-up of artists showcasing the individuals, bands and the music that created and came from the Latin rock explosion, as well as a few special guest musicians. A special event will be held in the near future where proceeds from the Benefit Concert will be presented to the San Carlos Special Ed program in association with Awareness for Autism.

Malo, one of the most successful and enduring Latin Rock bands in the world, almost needs no introduction. This year, 2008, they're celebrating their 35th anniversary! Their biggest hit, "Suavecito," reached #18 on the Billboard charts in April of 1972. They've played all over the world and have performed on bills with The Rolling Stones and Queen. Malo has at least 10 albums to their credit and continue to tour. In 1997, along with Tierra and El Chicano, they recorded a live album called "Latin Legends Live." The three bands have toured extensively since as "Latin Legends." Malo also gives back to the community by doing many benefits for schools and other good causes over the years. www.malomusic.com

Latin Rock doesn't get any better then "La Ventana”. Originating from the arts waterfall and cultrual explosion of San Francisco, La Ventana cruise to a Spanish-flavored mix of pop, rock and soul. On the surface they might remind some of Santana, whose influence can definitely be felt however La Ventana have their own colorful vision! La Ventana 8 member group blends together flawlessly, rasing the spirits with a spectacular party atmosphere. LV will leave you breathless, especially if you are dancing the entire time. La Ventana has been labeled the Hottest New Latin Band in the San Francisco Bay Area, catch their High Energy Live Show and you will see why. www.laventanaband.com

Sisters Morales is a rockin’ Texas-based musical group comprised of sisters Lisa and Roberta Morales. They were born into a Mexican-American family in Tucson, Arizona. Their style is a unique mix of rock, mariachi, and Americana country sung in Spanish and English. Lisa and Roberta are accomplished musicians and songwriters, each reflecting what she has gone though in her life, and both voices are very different, but their harmonies are strong and tight and sound as if they’re made up of the same voice. The talents of their band members round out the Sisters’ sound. David Spencer is one of Texas' finest guitar players. He also plays steel guitar and trades mariachi-style leads on acoustic with Roberta. Vicente Rodriguez keeps the backbeat solid and also adds percussion. Roger Tausz adds to the bottom end. The Sisters have built quite a following. Their performances are always described as "energetic, emotional and rockin." www.sistersmorales.com
