This smokin’ Hammond B3 organ trio has been playing together for the past ten years but also has a storied background in other various musical forms. Keyboardist Mark Gelfand and guitarist David Rampley combined their musical creativity throughout the 80’s in the popular jazz fusion band ‘Prime Suspect’. After a successful eight year run playing clubs, each went on to play with other popular local artists for the next twelve years. It was only later in Mr. Gelfand’s musical career that he crossed paths with versatile, jazz/funk drummer Mark Vrudny. Sharing similar interests in the resurgence of the Hammond B3 sound of the 50’s and 60’s fueled by the great Joey Defrancesco and Larry Goldings, they decided to focus on their own mix of original and cover compositions. The trio’s ideas successfully materialized after Mr. Rampley joined the band and they never looked back!
