Why the Tiger Club? It's called the Tiger Club because it's not a band---it's a club. Its members are accomplished and nationally recognized musicians and composers, boasting songs in TV and film, such as "The Karate Kid" and Tom Hanks' "That Thing You Do." Spend an evening with the Tiger Club and be transported to a cinematic atmosphere, full of exotic musical possibilities. It seems as if you've been here before; happy, sardonic, sensually playful, boisterous, down and dirty. Our favorite compliment: "I've never seen anything like you before, I love you guys." They sing and play it like they know it. Soul, Funk, Latin Jazz, Blues, Retro-lounge, Space-age Pop and some unexpected favorites. It feels unmistakably like a party. Baxter Robertson is a native of the SF Bay Area. Having achieved a degree in music composition at UCLA, he went on to play keyboards, guitar and sing with numerous bands in Los Angeles and on tour before landing a recording contracts with RCA and then Atlantic records as a solo artist in the 80s.He has numerous songs in film and TV and currently is staff composer for a company which provides sound and music for toys. Live performance is Baxter’s first love, and he continues to maintain his formidable skill as a keyboardist and singer in his band, "The Tiger Club".
